Sheer Spite Press is a small press and distributor that I started in February 2024.
Having self-published for over a decade, run zine sales racks at 3 local businesses in Ottawa, co-organized a zine fair, and informally helped many writers and artists distribute their work, I decided to create a more formal structure by which I could help get work that I believe in out into the world.
Sheer Spite Press' first official title, published in April 2024, is a double volume of two memoirs published back to back in a single book: Accept Yourself Or Die: From Mormon Missionary to Trans Punk, and Crossdresser: Growing Up Trans in the 1990s and 2000s.
The press is a one-person operation: I source books, do the editing, layout, and cover design for the original publications, ship retail orders, and arrange for wholesale distribution to independent bookstores across North America.
